Meilun Chen’s research interests encompass algorithmic culture, platform and media governance, and human-computer interaction. Passionate about comparative studies and mixed methods, Chen works at the intersection of media and information study, and science and technology studies (STS). Chen’s research aims to raise people’s awareness of the broad and complex range of sociotechnical and historical factors that make up algorithmic systems and find solutions to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within algorithmic systems.
