Systematic and Scoping Reviews in the Social Sciences: Leveraging Evidence Synthesis Methods in Communication, Information and Media, by Julia Maxwell.

Systematic and scoping review activities, once health science methods, have become widespread in the social sciences due to their rigor, comprehensiveness, and research impact. Librarian Julia Maxwell will discuss the difference between these methods and the traditional literature review, provide an overview of the steps in the process, and share advice on customizing these methods for CIM research and dissertation activities.

Julia Maxwell is the Social Sciences Librarian at Rutgers - New Brunswick, and a PhD student at Rutgers School of Communication and Information.
