SC&I Development Office Shares Inaugural Newsletter
The SC&I Development Office is proud to announce the release of the July 2020 Development newsletter, the first in an ongoing series of newsletters.
“Although the COVID-19 pandemic forces us to remain apart for the time being, it is very important that we maintain a strong connection to our SC&I alumni, supporters, and friends,” said Assistant Dean for Development Rob Eccles, “and this newsletter enables us to do just that.”
Through this online communication tool, the Development Office will share important school news, introduce new initiatives, and alert readers about upcoming events. Topping the list of important school news is the July 1, 2020, appointment of Jonathan S. Holloway as the 21st presidents of Rutgers. Please join us in giving President Holloway a warm welcome and view his video message to the Rutgers community.
In case you missed it, you can share in SC&I’s virtual graduation convocation 2020 and enjoy these video messages from SC&I’s notable alumni and friends.
Another important news item is the announcement that SC&I is launching a new Master of Health Communication and Information (MHCI) degree program in January ‘21. The MHCI is a shared degree between SC&I’s Communication, Journalism and Media Studies, and Library and Information Science departments. Its timely focus is on the communication, information, and media aspects of health-related policies and practices. As with all our graduate degree programs, MHCI info sessions are held each month—be sure to help us spread the word.
