SC&I Faculty Heads to the Nation’s Capital for the 69th Annual International Communication Association Conference
Conference being held from May 24-28 in Washington, D.C.

Faculty, students and alumni of the School of Communication and Information (SC&I) will be in attendance at this year’s International Communication Association (ICA) Conference being held at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. Hosting an abundance of sessions on critical industry topics, the conference is focusing this year’s theme on “Communication Beyond Boundaries.”

On Saturday, May 25 at 5:00 p.m., SC&I is presenting a conversation on “The Corporate Self” with Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair in Media, Culture and Feminist Studies Naomi Klein and Professor of JMS Amy Jordan in the International Ballroom on the Concourse Level. This event is followed by a SC&I Reception at Across the Pond Pub from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

According to the ICA website, “ICA is an academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching, and application of all aspects of human and mediated communication. ICA began more than 50 years ago as a small association of U.S. researchers and is now a truly international association with more than 4,500 members in 80 countries. Since 2003, ICA has been officially associated with the United Nations as a non-governmental association (NGO).”
