SC&I’s Digital Asset Management program co-founder and Co-Academic Director David Lipsey is chair of the Henry Stewart Digital Asset Management (DAM) Conference: “DAM Los Angeles 2023: The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media.” Two of SC&I’s DAM instructors, Google Marketing Operations DAM Program Lead Kathleen Cameron and Chromata Solution Managing Partner Neil Bilow, are featured speakers at the conference, which runs March 23 and 24 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

As the West Coast’s leading conference dedicated to digital asset management, DAM LA will focus on content related to metadata, integration, video workflow, creative operations, AI, corporate archives, automated workflows, rights management, user adoption, governance, and more. Attendees will examine the latest thinking and developments in the world of DAM from the user’s perspective using real-world case studies, interactive panels, workshops, roundtables, and tutorials.

Conference chair Lipsey, a founder in the field of DAM, will open and close the conference and present at a session on March 24. Lipsey is a consistent innovator in defining and redefining DAM and its relationship to organizational strategy, rights, outreach, and growth. He is a co-author of the widely used Digital Asset Management Capability Model. On March 23, Kathleen Cameron will present “How Best to Meet the Demands of a Growing Business—Maintaining a Core Structure at its Heart.” Cameron has been organizing assets (analog, digital, and analog-to-digital) for discovery and reuse since 1989. Her team is extending DAM from one business unit to the entire global Google Marketing organization to promote discovery, rights management, reuse, and reporting.

On March 23, Neil Bilow will moderate the panel “Getting Started with Video in Your DAM.” On March 24, he will co-present at the “Breaking the Mould—Prototyping is the new RFP” session. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Bilow is known for his leadership and ability to translate strategic, organizational, and business goals into technology solutions that work. He brings his expertise in DAM to empower museums to be their best in this digital age.

SC&I’s Continuing and Professional Studies Department offers DAM Bronze and DAM Silver certificate programs that allow enrollees to advance their careers and benefit from instruction taught by professionals across the globe who are expert leaders in their fields.
