We have witnessed the range of anti-Black violence that have filled our screens over the last few weeks. Ahmaud Arbery. Breonna Taylor. George Floyd. We are writing to make clear that, as a community, we stand together in pain, rage, and solidarity against the everyday violence that threatens Black people living in the United States.

The closing of Rutgers University due to the COVID-19 pandemic has meant SC&I staff have needed to adapt quickly to working 100% remotely, during a time when students and faculty have needed more support than ever before. Because of COVID-19, SC&I’s annual public speaking contest was held virtually for the first time in the contest’s history. This year’s theme was “Stand Up, Speak Out! Be Bold. Be Heard.”

SC&I’s new MHCI degree will bridge the fields of communication, media, information science, technology, and healthcare and prepare its graduates for a variety of competitive and rewarding positions in the growing healthcare profession.

The book features recently fielded national Gen Z survey results and interviews with Gen Zers ages 13 to 23 and offers Gen Z’s insights on future employers, education, media, content, social media and how brand marketers can most effectively engage them.
